Semi-Annual Statement Delay
As a result of a change to our internal business processes, some of the semi-annual investment statements we provide to your clients for the period of January 1 to June 30 will be slightly delayed. This delay will impact the following Empire Life products:
- Guaranteed Investment Funds (GIF)
- Class Plus 3.0
- Class Plus 2.1
- Class Plus 2
- Class Plus
- Class Segregated Funds
- Elite and Elite XL (administered on our current administration platform)
As a result of this change, we are anticipating that the mailing for these statements will be delayed by approximately one month. This delay will impact the delivery of your client’s statement regardless of whether they have chosen to receive printed statements or have elected to receive “e-statements” through our customer portal.
This change in process will not impact the production and delivery of semi-annual statements for the following products, which are administered on our legacy administration systems:
- Elite and Elite XL (administered on our legacy administration platforms)
- Other legacy segregated fund contracts
Empire Life will be sending your clients a letter to inform them of this delay and to provide them with a copy of the contract amendment for the regulatory changes that were made effective May 29, 2023 (where applicable). Below you will find links to copies of the letters being sent, which vary depending on which products they own and whether some (or all) of their statements will be delayed.
To assist your clients with any questions they may have and to ensure they have the information they need for their segregated fund contract (including Market Values, Guarantees, Beneficiary designations, etc…) the Empire Life Customer Service Team is available Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST at 1-800-561-1268.
Customer Communications
We are also writing to let you know that transactional confirmation output to your customers (including transaction notices, contract confirmations, etc…) have resumed. These communications had been paused due to the change to our internal business processes.
Please note that if an Advisor or MGA has been receiving printed copies of transaction confirmations, these will not be available at this time. However, PDF copies will be available in the Advisor Portal for downloading.
