Aligned with our commitment to Digital Leadership and Service Excellence, we are launching two new security enhancements to help you protect your business and your client's data.
Effective Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Empire Life will enable Delegated Access for Fast & Full® Insurance, Fast & Full® Investments, and the eVision Insurance Illustrator™ based on the access permissions associated with an advisor’s Empire Life code. Assistants will experience a more secure process to conduct business on behalf of their advisors. We will also start to roll out multi-factor authentication (MFA) soon thereafter. MFA provides an added layer of security to the Empire Life platforms, helping to reduce the likelihood of unauthorized access.
IMPORTANT: What must your team do to prepare for these security enhancements? 1. Check your delegated access permissions on the My Advisor Dashboard
Log in to the My Advisor Dashboard, navigate to My Profile, and review the list of people on your team to whom you have given permission to access your cases in the table labelled ‘My advisor codes others can service’. 2. Contact contracting@empire.ca if anything is missing or incorrect.
3. Ask every team member who has permission to access your cases toregister for an individual login account so they don't experience disruptions when accessing our platforms when MFA is implemented. Feel free to forward this email to your colleagues who must create their accounts. Learn more about registering.
Summary of the upcoming updates on the Empire Life platforms:
Assistants will be able to assist soliciting advisors to complete illustrations and Fast & Full applications if the advisor has given them access to their Empire Life cases.
1. Delegated Access for the eVision Insurance Illustrator
Unlicensed assistants can run an illustration and send it over to the soliciting advisor to complete the submission to Fast & Full.
Licensed assistants or advisors can also submit the illustration to Fast & Full and complete the application.
2. Delegated Access for Fast & Full Insurance and Investments
Assistants will be prompted to select a soliciting advisor code and experience one of the following flows based on their login credentials:
1) Unlicensed assistants can prefill a form to enter client data to help the advisor complete parts of the application. The form will then be submitted to the advisor’s dashboard so that the advisor can complete the application. 2) Licensed assistants can complete a Fast & Full application as usual, and it will be forwarded to the selected advisor to complete the application. The advisor is the last person to sign the application in DocuSign. For Fast & Full Insurance, both the advisor and the licensed assistant must sign the application.Licensed assistants must be contracted and have an active advisor code with Empire Life.
3. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be added to the individual insurance and investment advisor platforms
Empire Life will start rolling out MFA in phases in January, 2025, for all the individual insurance and investment advisor platforms. You and team members will be asked to enroll a phone number to receive a 6-digit security code via text, email, or landline. The next time you log in, you can choose your preferred method to receive the 6-digit code.
