We are pleased to introduce a new automatic notification to help you advise clients whose Empire Life participating whole life policy has earned insufficient dividends to maintain the current Term Addition amount.

 
 

One or more of your clients may be impacted

If one or more of your clients’ policies (Optimax policies issued between December 1987 and March 2001 or The Protector policies issued between June 1984 and April 1988) have not earned sufficient dividends to maintain the current Term Addition amount this policy year, you will receive an email 4 days after the policy anniversary date.

This notification will include:

  • The payment amount required to maintain the current Term Addition
  • Instructions on how and when to make payments
  • Details on how to request an in-force illustration

If you receive a notification, we strongly recommend that you reach out to your client to confirm that they are aware of the situation and to review their options, including the possibility of changing the dividend option for this policy1.

You can download a copy of the list in .csv format with information regarding product type, expiry date, face amount, premium, rating, age, sex and smoking status2 that you can use to manage business development opportunities.

To check your list, please log in to My Advisor Dashboard using the button below.

1 The need for top up payments to maintain Term Additions on participating whole life policies are expected to be necessary in future years and are likely to increase if dividend scales continue to remain flat or fall.
